Bio

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas with a goal to see the world, Julie is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in public relations and journalism. Currently copywriting for Townsquare Media, Julie hopes to keep creative employment and continue experiencing the wonderful world with her husband and two dogs, Lenny and Sunny.

When I’m not studying or researching for school assignments, I’m working as a manager at the Outpost American Tavern in Dallas, TX.  A new general manager and I were brought on to train the staff, create new menus, and create buzz for the concept.  Being in this position has given me a firsthand opportunity to create and maintain social media and work on interpersonal skills.  I also have the opportunity to work with graphic designers, a public relations firm, and entrepreneurs that are involved in the restaurant business.  I have also been conducting research about the area we’re in and the clientele we serve.

My passion is travel.  I have been all over the United States and most recently studied abroad in Costa Rica.  Documenting my experiences from bus rides to food has sparked an interest in storytelling for me.  Places that I never thought I would experience are now places that I hold near to my heart.  Being able to educate people on different cultures by photography or writing is something I hope to do for a long time.
